Simple Catridge Layout

Ive opened a Genesis Catridge, actually a Pal Megadrive one, and found that it consisted of four parts on the inside, the board of course, the chip, a 47uF Capacitor and an unidentified pink pat which looks like a diode to me but is labeled as C2 on the board, the board printing sugests it as a condensator I think because of "--| |--", but it has rings on it like a resistor.

I would think it is a condensator, but are there ones which ringcodes in diode resistor axial shape which are very small?

The colours are as far as i can recognize due to the pink background, "big gap, white, pink, red, red, smaller gap as to the other side".

Anyone any ideas?

Yeah, I think that is just a capacitor; some unusual constructions are in that type of package. I'm not 100% sure on the color code though. I found a page here with a reference to the color codes, but there appears to be more than one standard depending on the exact type of capacitor...
