Road Rash mega cd pal

Hi I am new here and live in England, I have a pal mega drive and pal mega cd they have not been modified in anyway, I have an original Road Rash mega cd and it plays fine on my system but I have been told this is a ntsc only game, and another forum mentioned there was once a rumour of a pal version, it plays fine so I was wondering if Road Rash on the mega cd was multi regional, if it was region locked then I must have the rumoured version, I have tried ntsc games on my system but it does not play them.
