It's software rendering to a texture that is scaled to the screen size by VDP1.
There are 3 landscape textures in the cd folder but the voxel demo only uses one, so I've toyed with it to make it change the texture by pressing the R shoulder button.

Afaik the sh2 are running at the same frequency as vdp2 in all Saturn models, pal or ntsc.
That frequency is about 1% lower on pal consoles, so both the sh2 and vdp2 run a bit slower.
I've tried Real bout fatal fury with the codes on my Japanese model 2 Saturn (VA15), and there was no problem during loads.

It's unintuitive because there's a message that says "No cheat codes enabled". It doesn't say "The highlighted code will be automatically enabled in case you don't select any code".

Here's a quick and dirty workaround to force stereo playback of CDDA tracks in some games that only output them in mono, despite said tracks having stereo effects.
